How To Insert An Image Into A Yahoo Mail.

I’ll show you how to add a picture directly into the body of an email using Yahoo Mail.

It’s the kind of thing that advertisers do all the time, dropping pictures directly into the email rather than as attachments.

How To Insert An Image Into Yahoo Mail Email.

You can use copy and paste or drag and drop to insert images into Yahoo Mail emails.

  • Log in to your Yahoo Mail account and begin a new email by clicking the Compose button.
  • Add the email address of your recipient, a subject and then maybe some text into the body of the message.
  • Then position the cursor at the point that you want the picture inserted.

Resizing The Image.

Most likely the picture will be the wrong size for your email, it’ll be either too large or small. Yahoo Mail doesn’t allow you to resize the image freehand.

But you can choose to make it either large or small using the image options. Select the image and then click the More Options button which appears in the top right hand corner of the image.

The options are very limited but better than nothing.

Aligning The Image.

In Yahoo Mail you can align an image that’s been inserted into an email just like you would do for text.

To align your image you’ll need to select it first. When selected the image will highlight become highlighted. Then click the Options icon (3 horizontal dots) at the bottom of the window.

On the menu you can choose to left, centre or right align the picture.

Left align is currently selected.

Summary.

When it come to handling images in your emails, Yahoo Mail doesn’t offer all the extra options that other email providers do. However for the occasional message, it’s good enough. Certainly not my favourite but it works and it’s free.
